João Alberto de Seixas

Hello. My name is João Alberto de Seixas. To make it easier for my English and Spanish speaking friends, I usually say my name is John or Juan, but if you would like to know how to pronounce my name in Portuguese, click here.
I am an MBA student in the Class of 1999 at the Sloan School of Management of
the Massachussetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

At Sloan I am enrolled in the Information Technoloby and Business Transformation (ITBT) Track.

We Brazilians are a growing community at MBA Schools, as can be seen in our site.
At Sloan, we are also a big latino community.

My Wife, Cristiane de Oliveira Vitorino
I'm married, and my wife Cristiane appears in the photo above from our marriage.
Our civilian wedding was on May 17, 1997,
while our religious wedding was just a few weeks after on June 7.
Both were just before we moved to the United States.
In the beginning of 1999, she has finished a
Certificate of Special Studies in Administration and Management
at the Harvard Extension School, one of the schools at Harvard University.

You can also check her Résumé in both a Word file and in an HTML format.

Background
I was born in São Paulo, the largest city in Brazil and the second largest
in the world with around 18 million inhabitants.
On the other hand, my wife was born in Rio de Janeiro,
one of the most beautiful cities in Brazil.

My course is being sponsored by my current employer, Banco Itaú S.A.,
the second largest private bank in Brazil, but also expanding abroad with branches in Argentina,
Europe, Central America and the United States.
Here I put the links in English and Español as well.

You can also check my Résumé in both a Word file and in an HTML format,
for my previous working experience and academic background.
As you can see, I am an Electronics Engineer from the Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica.
In my high school, I have studied at Colégio Bandeirantes.

Interests

I like travelling, swimming, and biking.
More recently, I have dedicated some of my spare time to tennis and squash.

I also like cinema a lot, and one of the last movies I and my wife went to see was Mighty Joe Young.

Personal Records
I and my wife like to take pictures of the places we visit.
We have been to some beautiful places and we like to register everything.
We are selecting some pictures to make a nice album and link it to this web page in a future version.

Even at home, we have a good view from MIT and Boston:.
